The Wheel of Death needs at least 15 m of clear height; the Globe of Death needs a 6 m sphere plus a safety ring. Most hotel ballrooms can take neither, and it is better to establish that before the brief goes to the client.
让层高决定节目单Let the ceiling write the running order
- Hotel ballroom. Usually too low for the two headline acts. A set is built from the acts that fit the room and the staging you already have.
- Arena, exhibition hall or studio. The headline acts are on the table, with the rigging and power supply they need.
- Open air. Everything is available, including the drone and water formats — with a weather protocol agreed in advance and a contingency date in the contract.
Send a section drawing or photographs of the room and the ceiling structure. We will come back with a realistic running order rather than a wish list.
三种把马戏放进活动里的方式Three ways to programme it
- A headline set. Two of the acts, around twenty minutes, placed where the evening needs its moment — after the speeches, before the awards, or as the finale.
- An act licensed into a bigger show. One piece inside a variety bill or an awards programme that somebody else is producing.
- A custom single show. Built around a fixed date and a fixed stage: product launches, countdown galas, sports-event warm-ups and openings.
A set of two acts is usually the easiest to fit around speeches and awards, and it is the format most corporate evenings are actually buying.

Some of the strongest corporate formats live outdoors, where height and space stop being a constraint:
- Drone light shows for product launches, city countdowns and milestone events, flown to a redundancy plan with the airspace approval timeline built into the schedule.
- Flyboard water shows for waterfront venues, in day and night formats.
- Full arena programming where a company owns the whole evening, including the headline acts and a big-top or arena-scale setting.
Outdoor formats are date-sensitive: wind, water state and airspace all have a say, so they are planned with a contingency window rather than a single slot.

- Fix the date before the creative. Venue, freight and cast availability all follow the date, not the mood board.
- Decide where the moment sits in the run of show, then let the technical plan protect it.
- Keep the set short. Audiences remember one moment, not a block of programming.
- Allow real rehearsal time on the day, with the room empty and the lighting and sound cues set.
- Brief the AV team early. Music, lighting and cue calls are part of the act, not decoration around it.

Can the Wheel of Death be performed in a hotel ballroom?
Normally no. It needs at least 15 m of clear height and a rig load of 5 t per square metre, which is beyond the ceiling and the floor of a standard ballroom. If your room is an exception, we will tell you quickly.
What can we put in a ballroom?
A set built from the acts that fit the room. Send the ceiling height and a floor plan and we will come back with something that works in that space rather than something that has to be re-drawn on site.
Can you supply a fifteen to twenty minute set?
Yes. Two of the acts form a set of around twenty minutes, which fits the way corporate evenings are structured around speeches and awards.
Do you need a special power supply?
The rigged acts need 380 V and at least 150 kW on a dedicated circuit. Venues with an existing production supply are usually fine; we confirm it in the advance site check.
What about insurance and venue paperwork?
Performance liability and third-party liability are in place, and we provide the technical and safety documentation the venue asks for.
How far ahead should a year-end event be booked?
Three to six months. Year-end and Lunar New Year dates are the first to go, and the headline acts also carry the longest freight lead time.
Do you perform at sports events?
Yes — pre-match and interval programming is one of the custom formats, built around a fixed stage and a fixed time slot.
