The UAE is not a market where you pitch a tent in a field. It is a market of air-conditioned volumes: shopping-mall atriums, exhibition halls, indoor arenas, hotel ballrooms and purpose-built indoor venues in the entertainment districts of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Two consequences follow for anyone booking a circus act here. First, the ceiling is usually the binding constraint, not the floor — a mall atrium that looks enormous can still fail a 15 m clear-height check once signage, lighting trusses and sprinkler runs are subtracted. Second, the audience is transient and mixed: tourists, expatriate families and residents, with a large share of children. Programming skews to a 30–45 minute attention span rather than a full evening.
Outdoor work is possible in the cooler months and is common for waterfront and beach-side activations, but it is scheduled around the heat, not the reverse.

季节与档期Season and calendar
The UAE entertainment calendar is driven by the tourist season and the retail calendar rather than by the school year.
- October to April — the working window. Outdoor activations, waterfront shows and festival programming all sit here. This is also when visiting footfall peaks.
- May to September — indoor only. Outdoor rigs, flyboard work and drone flights are effectively off the table. Programme into air-conditioned venues or postpone.
- Ramadan and the Eid holidays. Scheduling shifts. Evening timings move, and content is reviewed for cultural fit. Acts without dialogue, costume risk or music dependency adapt most easily — the Wheel of Death and the Globe of Death are both silent acts.
- National Day and New Year. High demand, short windows, and airspace restrictions around city-wide celebrations. Confirm the date before committing to anything airborne.
报批、通关与保险Approvals, customs and insurance
Three workstreams decide whether a UAE date actually happens, and all three should start before the contract is signed.
- Event permits. Performance permits are normally applied for by the venue or the event organiser rather than by the visiting act, which is why we build the paperwork schedule into the planning stage with your local contact.
- Equipment import. Rigging, wheels and spheres travel as professional equipment, typically under an ATA Carnet so that nothing is permanently imported. Air freight into Dubai is fast but volumetric; sea freight through Jebel Ali is cheaper and slower by weeks.
- Insurance. Performance liability and third-party liability, with certificates issued before load-in rather than on the day.
We prepare the technical dossier that the venue and the authorities need: apparatus specifications, load calculations, crew credentials and the safety method statement.

Do you have a resident show in the UAE?
No. We do not hold a resident production in the UAE. Our engagements there are project-based: a licensed act inside an existing show, a festival or season booking, or a long-run residency operated jointly with a local partner.
Can the Wheel of Death play in a shopping mall?
Rarely. It needs 15 m of clear height over the wheel position, which most atriums cannot give once lighting, signage and services are accounted for. The Globe of Death is usually the better atrium act.
How long do approvals take?
It varies by venue and by authority, which is exactly why we start the paperwork at the planning stage rather than after the contract. For a fixed festival or holiday date, allow three to six months overall.
What about outdoor shows in summer?
Not practical. Between May and September the outdoor window is effectively closed for rigged and water-based acts. Indoor venues stay fully workable year round.
Which act works best during Ramadan?
Acts without dialogue, costume sensitivity or music dependency adapt most easily. Both the Wheel of Death and the Globe of Death are silent, which makes them straightforward to programme in a shifting calendar.
